SAM RUGBY - WHERE EVERYONE IS WELCOME

SAM Rugby is one of the youngest ‘veterans rugby clubs’ in the world – formed in late 2014, and taking the field for their inaugural game on 23rd May 2015 in Bundaberg. Comprising players from Bundaberg and all around Australia and with a variety of attributes, SAM Rugby really is the epitome of ‘inclusivity’. Both males and females over 35 are all welcome.

Having established that veterans rugby is indeed ‘a game for all’, SAM Rugby are pioneers in the concept of Social And Mixed (SAM) Rugby – happily playing the traditional (modified rules) version of veterans rugby against teams with or without a mix of genders.

SAM Rugby have a deep respect for rugby and it’s traditions. Most members have played for other veterans rugby clubs and enjoyed the 3 ‘F’s extensively, both in Australia and abroad. Players come from as far away as Canberra and Cairns, to join in the Fun, Friendship and Fraternity.

So, if you’re not afraid of some bumps (courtesy of our women) and bruises (courtesy of our men), the men and women of SAM Rugby has a place for you!
